— Psalm 16:7 (NLT)
God is not silent. He speaks to those who belong to Him lovingly, clearly, and constantly. One of the most powerful ways He communicates is through His Word, the Bible. Scripture isn't just a book; it is alive and active (Hebrews 4:12), filled with divine counsel for every part of our lives. Over 3,000 times, the writers of the Bible said, “Thus says the Lord,” revealing just how often and clearly God chose to speak through His people.
"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right."— 2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT)
The Bible is our spiritual compass. No other book, voice, or feeling should take its place in guiding our decisions, dreams, or direction. Through its pages, God trains us in His righteousness so we can live lives that reflect His love and truth.
God also speaks to us through His creation. Every sunrise, mountain, ocean wave, and bird’s song echoes His glory. The natural world is a beautiful testimony of His existence and majesty.
"For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature."— Romans 1:20 (NLT)
But God has spoken in the clearest, most personal way through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the living Word—God in the flesh—and through the Holy Spirit, He still speaks to our hearts today.
Sometimes He speaks gently, like a whisper in our conscience, urging us to do what is right. Other times, His voice is unmistakably loud, convicting us with clarity and power. However He speaks, we must listen. Don’t ignore that inner prompting, especially when it aligns with the truth of Scripture.
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."— John 10:27 (NKJV)
Always test what you hear or feel against the Word of God. His truth never changes, and His voice will never contradict what He has already spoken in the Bible.
God longs for a real relationship with you. He’s not distant or indifferent—He is near, and He’s speaking. Will you listen?
